We are drying our clothes outside on the line or inside (when raining) on a clothes horse. We used to use the dryer alot so this will save power consumption.

We now wash our clothes in a cold wash in the washing machine. Also we make sure we have a full load before doing a wash.

We as a family have decided to watch TV together. Previously we all watched TV on separate ones. We agree on what we want to watch. This has made us a closer family and gives us time together.

We have made a rule to only have the lights on in the rooms we are in. Any unnecessary lights will be turned off. Outside sensor lights also have been switched off.

My family and I have agreed to have showers instead of having baths. Also setting a timer of 5 minutes so we don't have long showers. We hope to do our bit to save in power consumption.

Fix dripping taps. A hot water tap dripping at the rate of one drip per second wastes approximately 28 litres of hot water per day.

Replace normal light bulbs with energy saving lightbulbs. Over time will save you power consumption and money.
