Some things can take a long time to cook in the oven such as roast chicken, pizza.
If I cook dinner in the oven, I put several baking tins full of water from the cold tap on the stove top, which takes the cold edge off the water.
Let all that roasting hot air out after you cook in the oven! It's so much better than wasting all that heat behind a closed oven door.
We can save power by thinking critically about how we cook meals. It costs a lot more to heat up the oven for a roast or chicken, than it does for cooking on the stove top.
